Congratulations on your engagement!

I am truly honored that you are considering me to document your big day! But please know, I am not the wedding photographer for everyone. I have been photographing weddings for 9 years and I do not take photographing wedding days lightly. It’s a very important day in your life and I think it is important that you choose a photographer who will make your wedding photo dreams come true. I have recently decided to limit my availability for weddings moving forward so I can be more intentional about the wedding days I agree to photograph. As a creative, almost one whole decade into my career, I truly just want to be recognized as an artist and I only desire to work with clients that consider my work art. I want to book clients that love my style and value what I bring to the table. And I only want to take on weddings that are cohesive with my somewhat filmy, vintage, artsy style of shooting and editing. I’m very inspired by and truly love polaroid pictures. I am endlessly snapping polaroids because I just adore them so much. I love the beauty of imperfection, yellow greens, haze & grain. This is what stole my heart so many years ago and the pressure to provide the “norm” of perfect photos with bold colors controlled me for awhile. So I played it safe, sacrificing the artsy and creative side of myself that longed to be set free. I told myself, and my followers, that I was going to slowly creep out of the wedding world so that I could focus more on the things I love most… like maternity, newborns and all things motherhood. Which ARE my favorite. But the truth is, I don’t hate weddings. I love, love. And I don’t desire to completely fill my schedule with weddings anymore these days, but I also don’t want to completely give them up. Some of my most sacred friendships & best memories have come from photographing weddings. So I decided it was time to go back to my roots where I can fall deeply in love with the art of wedding photography all over again. I thrive when I get to work with clients that give me free reigns for creativity.

If we choose to work together, You can fully expect me to be on the dance floor dancing with you and all of your friends while I take all the fun reception photos. I’ll be your biggest hype girl for the day, carry your lip gloss or your tissues and will probably shed a few tears at some point during the day too. Like I said .. I just love, love! My husband of 12 years is my assistant and second shooter on wedding days, so you get two of us for the price of one & lots of extra photos. Working along side of him makes photographing weddings extra special for me too. There are lots of other perks to booking your wedding day with me… like free engagement sessions, discounts on Boudoir shoots for my brides, professionally printed heirloom photo albums that you will cherish for a lifetime, customized USB’s, & so much more! And with me cutting back on my availability for weddings, it allows us the chance to get to know each other on a more personal level and that truly makes all the difference when it comes to working together on your special day. I have grown to really love the more intimate weddings, and sometimes the best of them are backyard weddings. A good photographer can make even the lowest budget wedding day look like art. And at the end of the days it’s not about how much money you spent on a venue, a catering company or entertainment. It’s about celebrating your love story with your closet friends and family by your side. Save the biggest part of your budget for the dress, honeymoon and wedding day photos of your dreams.

If you like what I’ve had to say so far, please get in touch! Lets chat about the details of your day and see if we might be a good match. And please don’t be offended if I do send you on your way to search for another photog, because it’s absolutely nothing personal. I just want you to find the wedding photographer that will give you the photos that you’ve dreamed about since you were a little girl and I want to create art that I’m truly proud of. Not every wedding day will benefit from my style as an artist, and that’s okay! And If you’re just out here price shopping, we are probably not going to be a good fit. But if you enjoy my style and you value someone who is going to focus on not only the main events of the day but also all the tiny details in between … I may just be your girl! I want to work with clients that put documenting their day at the top of their priority list. These photos and your wedding dress (and maybe your flowers too, if you choose to preserve them) are the only things you’ll have left once your day has come to an end. So be sure to invest in the things that are forever, and the things that matter most. Not the little things that no one will care to remember by next year. You will not regret it!
